Republic of Korea - Guidelines on Business and Human Rights
The Korean Guidelines on Business and Human Rights (2021) are voluntary guidelines developed by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Korea, designed to help companies implement business and human rights principles in accordance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, and the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Business Conduct.

Purpose: Operationalises the UN Guiding Principles and OECD Guidelines for Korean business.
Key Provisions:
- Explains the HRDD procedure and the human-rights impact assessment.
- Recommends a human-rights policy, due diligence, grievance/remedy mechanisms and disclosure of DD results.
- Sets sector-specific priority issues: Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical and Chemical, Construction, Information and Communications Technology, Finance, Extractives Industries and Energy, Agricultural, Fisheries.
