The Greenland Parliament Act on Mineral Activities, in force since 1 January 2024, is the central framework regulating all mineral prospecting, exploration and exploitation in Greenland.
Because all land is publicly owned, the Government of Greenland administers land-use rights and grants licences supported by the following key processes:
- EIA - Environmental Impact Assessment
- SIA - Social Impact Assessment
- IBA - Impact and Benefit Agreement
