Decree n.º 014-92-EM  establishes the rules and procedures for the exploration, exploitation, processing, and commercialization of mineral resources in Peru.

Section 48 - Compliance & Indemnification

  • Mining must follow proper systems and techniques under safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.
  • Companies must avoid harm to third parties as much as possible.
  • If harm occurs, they are obliged to indemnify (compensate) affected parties for damages.
