In 2026, critical mineral markets are shifting from prioritizing volume and price toward valuing reliability and secure delivery. Abundant raw materials mask deeper bottlenecks in refining, processing, and traceability, making midstream capacity the real source of scarcity. Demand is no longer driven only by electric vehicles but also by grid upgrades, energy storage, digital infrastructure, and geopolitical stockpiling. As a result, long-term contracts, diversified supply chains, and sustainability standards increasingly determine who succeeds in this new risk-priced landscape.
