Solidaridad promotes inclusive and sustainable artisanal mining at PERUMIN 37

At PERUMIN 37 in Arequipa, Solidaridad highlighted the role of artisanal and small-scale mining (MAPE) as a key player in the mining sector. In partnership with Peru’s Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM), it co-hosted a discussion on the new MAPE law, addressing traceability, technical assistance, financing, and inclusion. Another forum focused on mercury-free gold, land restoration, and better environmental practices in Madre de Dios. Through these efforts, Solidaridad reaffirmed its commitment to fostering inclusive and sustainable small-scale mining.
