Siemens Energy warns EU may be pushing green rules too ag­gres­sive­ly

The European Union is preparing to review and potentially scale back parts of its flagship Green Deal policies amid growing pressure to prioritize industrial competitiveness. Business groups have voiced concerns that regulations such as the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) could impose excessive burdens on companies. This shift raises fears among environmental and human rights advocates that the EU may weaken its leadership on sustainability in favour of short-term economic gains.
