Copenhagen Declaration warns against weakening CSRD and CSDDD

Over 250 European scholars signed the Copenhagen Declaration warning against weakening the CSRD and CSDDD. They urge that simplification must be evidence-based, aligned with climate science, and keep firms with over 500 employees in scope. The declaration stresses sustainability as a strategic advantage, not a burden. Scholars also call for preserving risk-based due diligence consistent with UN and OECD standards.
