Community Blockade Halts Endeavour Silver's Terronera Mine in Jalisco, Mexico

An Ejido community (a rural group holding communal agricultural land) has blockaded Endeavour Silver's Terronera mine in Jalisco, Mexico, suspending operations since 12 August 2026. Vancouver-based Endeavour Silver described it as an "illegal blockade" but said it has been relatively peaceful, orderly and respectful. The site remains staffed with a reduced crew for safety, security and maintenance. 

Per the company, the community is protesting over road maintenance near the mine and control of access to a local water supply, and is also requesting increased financial assistance. Endeavour says it is in active talks with Ejido leaders to resume full operations.
