Battery SAQ launched to support responsible sourcing and EU compliance

Drive Sustainability launched the Battery Sustainability Assessment Questionnaire (Battery SAQ), a modular, digital first-step screening tool aligned with Annex X of the EU Batteries Regulation and delivered via the SUPPLIERASSURANCE platform. Built on SAQ 5.0, it adds 12 ESG questions, 7 evidence uploads, and two tailored pathways (Mine and Non-Mine), producing a combined score and enabling suppliers to share results across multiple OEMs. The Battery SAQ helps OEMs and suppliers identify ESG risks and implement corrective actions while offering suppliers practical recommendations and streamlined, centralized reporting. The platform is open to OEMs and suppliers; those who already completed SAQ 5.0 answer only the additional Battery SAQ items, and suppliers can engage further through Drive+.
