Tool Provider Workshop: Data Visualisation for Due Diligence Tools
A due diligence tool is only as useful as what people do with its outputs. When results are buried in dashboards, hard to interpret, or disconnected from context, even the most robust risk data won't change a single sourcing decision. This session is about closing that gap from a visual perspective. How to turn complex outputs into something people can actually act on?
Free Workshop | May 28th, 16:00 - 17:00 CEST
This online workshop looks at how data visualisation shapes the way end-users understand due diligence results: how they read risk, how they spot patterns that deserve a closer look, and how they decide what to do next.
The workshop covers:
- From output to action — design principles for helping users move from "what does this score mean?" to "what do I do next?"
- Do's and don'ts of data visualisation — practical patterns and common pitfalls, grounded in the due diligence context
- Accessibility — making sure visualisations work for all users, from visual impairments or colour vision differences to users who aren't data experts and need clear, uncomplicated language to make sense of what they're seeing
Meet the Experts:
Anton Lecock believes that good digital design starts and ends with people. As a senior information architect and designer at The Kind Kids, he helps impact-driven organisations build websites, tools and interfaces that truly work — for everyone. Anton focuses on making sure that what an organisation wants to say actually lands with the people it's meant to reach.
Thomas Roelens is Head of Data Journalism and Visual Storytelling at the Belgian financial newspaper De Tijd. He works at the intersection of data, design, and journalism, turning complex policy and business topics into revealing stories and explanatory digital formats.
Bring your questions, your screenshots, and your half-finished ideas. Because the real test of any visualisation isn't whether it looks good — it's whether someone understands and acts on the data provided, however big or small that decision is.
